Easy guide to Jazz Blues soloing – Guitar Lesson

Jazz Blues
Want to know how to solo over a jazzy walking bass line? Want to add some basic jazz ideas into your blues? In this lesson I teach an easy example solo over a jazz style 12 bar blues. This lesson comes with a backing track as a separate YouTube video so that you can play along yourself.

This lesson is aimed at the blues guitar player who wants to be able to play over a jazz style track; or who wants to include some jazz style lines into their blues playing in order to make their electric blues playing more sophisticated.

The backing track is available here:

This is part 2 in a 2 part series providing a Beginner’s guide to Jazz Blues. Part 1 focuses on rhythm guitar, Part 2 focuses on lead playing.

Part 1 is available here:

The track is uses a standard 12 bar blues chord progression in the key of A, played with a swing and a walking bass line.
