In this “I Don’t Know” guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great Ozzy classic featuring Randy Rhoads note-for-note.

The opening riff uses a driving sixteenth note feel interspersed with power chords. Try to focus on the accents within those 16th notes, to help you lock into that feel.

The pre-chorus incorporates an intricate lick that can take a little bit of practice, especially at the end of it when you have to double-pick that lick.

I will go through each section of the song in the order that each appears and cover each riff and fill that Randy played.

For the clean section, I will be referencing the live version Randy plays on the “Tribute” album. This seemed to make more sense to me since the original recording uses a bunch of guitar overdubs at that part.

I will also cover Randy’s killer solo note-for-note. For the solo, I will be back to referencing the original studio recording.

Have fun learning this early Ozzy classic with the incomparable Randy Rhoads! Carl…
