In this Jet City Woman guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this awesome song off of Queensryche’s Empire album note-for-note.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
“Jet City Woman” is full of really great dual guitar work with excellent riffs, unique chord progressions, tasteful yet flashy solos and just overall great vocal and guitar hooks throughout.
I will cover each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording. It is a rather intricate song in how it is laid out.
Chris DeGarmo has some really cool solo work in this one that I will cover phrase-by-phrase. Chris Degarmo and Michael Wilton made up probably my favorite dual guitar team of any rock band. Just some great writing and so many great albums under their belt.
