Now Johnny Cash didn’t originally write and record Hurt. That distinction goes to Nine Inch Nails. Hurt was the last music video and song released by Johnny Cash. I highly recommend you go watch the Hurt music video done by Johnny as it’s absolutely amazing and powerful.
This is a Johnny Cash guitar lesson easy version for beginners. We will be doing some fingerstyle in this lesson for the verses and we will be doing some strumming for the choruses. The strumming pattern for Hurt isn’t too difficult and the fingerpicking pattern is also not too difficult the late beginner guitar players. The is why my Johnny Cash Hurt guitar lessons in located in my Beginner/Intermediate song section because there are a couple skills needed that most absolute beginners do not have yet.
