In this beginner friendly Jazz Blues Guitar Lesson I’ll show the basics about the Jazz Blues Chord Progression in Bb.
Jazz Blues in Bb is one of the most played progressions in jazz. It’s absolutely necessary to know the Jazz Blues guitar chords and comping for it!
I made this Easy Jazz Blues Guitar lesson for beginners of jazz. I’ll teach you all the Jazz Blues guitar chords note for note, slow and easy. It will be easy for you to follow. I also want you to understand the theory behind it, so we’ll get into that a bit as well.
You’ll also learn the basic jazz rhythm and some breaks. We call this Guitar Comping.
I’ll show you the basic Jazz Blues Guitar Chord Progression and then I’ll teach you some substitutions as well. We’ll cover descending and ascending movements, that lead us from the I7 chord to the VI7alt chord. We can do that chromatically or diatonically. You’ll learn both.
I’ve also made Bb Jazz Blues Backing Tracks slow and fast. They can be downloaded from the link above, so you can start practicing right away. No more excuses 😉
