This guitar lesson is for a solo acoustic version of “Badlands” by Bruce Springsteen. While this song only requires 3 very standard chords, I’ll show you some fun ways have some fun with the intro, some instrumental fills (tabs included), and some other bits of flourish you can add. In my lesson notes, I’ll also break down the strumming pattern and some additional insights not shown in this video. Note that in this lesson and cover version, I’m using a capo on the 2nd fret — this lets you avoid barre chords that you’d otherwise need without a capo.
