I never thought I would actually purchase one, but then this one fell into my lap when I purchased a collection of Zoot Suit Gibson guitars. I’m fairly impressed with it.

The Gig Bag…This guitar comes in its original Levy’s Gig bag. It ready Lotus Vintage Mini Guitar on the outside. The interior is well padded and it adequately protects the instrument. You’d have to get a custom made case to fit this lil’ guy.The Guitar!Wow! These guitars are NOT toys. They are really nice playing guitars – especially when compared to to epiphone’s pee wee guitars. Please view my video review the learn more about these fantastic ‘sleeper’ instruments.Lotus is a brand of guitars from the 70s until the mid 90s. They didn’t own their own factory, they simply job’d’ their instrument out across all the different well known overseas factories. Lotus isn’t really well remembered like Greco, Burny, Electra, Ibanez, Aria and Hondo… except for producing these mini guitars! Seriously… these 19″ scale guitars command 4-6x the price of their other LP offerings!These are simply the best mini Les Paul money can buy. Why is this one so great? It has 2 pickups with individual volume and tone controls for each and a 3 way selector switch. Furthermore, it has a traditional bridge and tailpiece set up which allows for better intonation than a wrap tailpiece. This guitar also has a cool Ace Frehley Boudokan vibe going on with binding on the body and neck and a striking cherry sunburst finish. It plays very well and it looks great too!This one has either 13 or 14 gauge stings on it (wound G string) and is ready to be played in standard tuning instead of G if you were to have lighter gauge stings on it. It has some light signs of playware and a few light nicks/dings here or there. Overall, it is fairly clean for its age. It could use the intonation adjusted in the top strings.ConclusionOverall, these guitars are fantastic. Sure, they aren’t perfect guitars, but as far as a miniature LP goes, this is the cream of the crop!
