Guitar manufacturer Jay Turser has produced some killer electric copies of Gibson, Fender, Mosrite and other iconic models, all at bargain prices.
Very little info is publicly available on Jay Turser guitars. The legend I heard years ago at NAMM is that the company was named for a British luthier who set up a shop in Asia to craft guitars made of high-end materials while subjecting them pro-level quality control.
That “history” could be pure mythology, but this Les Paul Goldtop replica makes me think it could be true. The JT-220-GT retails for around $250. But after a professional setup, this guitar plays and sounds like axes many times its price. Listen and judge for yourself.
