Dan’s up today with a brand new Blues Jazz style lick, that will push you out of those pentatonic boxes! The idea here is to take the major and minor pentatonic scales in the key of B, and add the m7b5 arpeggio combined with plenty of chromatic notes. The m7b5 arpeggio is magic, as you can simply take the root of the dominant chord you are on (B), move up a major 3rd (Eb), and play the arpeggio from there! Voila!
