Check out this excellent Blues Jazz Funk Soul Progression from Licklibrary’s newest tutor Daniel Seriff. In this lesson, Daniel demonstrates a major and minor 2/5/1 chord sequence in E minor and C Major. He then looks at two alternate versions using extensions and voice leading to add movement and enriched harmony to the progression.
This sequence is most notably used in Bobby Hebb’s – Sunny and the rework of the same track by master Greg Howe.
