Motif Exercises help you create melodies that connect and make sense across several chords and scales is a skill that you need to master if you want to be able to make jazz guitar solos that keep the listeners attention. In this lesson I am going to have a look at an important tool in achieving this skill: Motifs and how you motif development. All the examples are on a Twelve-bar Jazz Blues in F.

The motifs that I create in the lesson are using the arpeggio of the chord, the scale and pentatonic scales.
