Taylor Guitars 327E Grand Pacific Vs. the 317E | Full Guitar Review and Comparison

Review
At the beginning of 2019 Taylor Guitars introduced an entirely new body shape and with it, a new sound for Taylor Guitars. The new Grand Pacific body shape is a round shoulder dreadnought body with Taylor’s new V-class bracing. The new shape and bracing combine to produce a warmer and rounder tone than Taylor is typically known for; with notes blending together for a sound that is reminiscent of vintage guitars from the past, without some of inherent issues that those designs may have had. The newest model in the line, the 327E, double down on the warmth with the rich mid-range that come from the combination of a Mahogany top and Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides. A satin finish, subtle edge burst and dark hardware compliment the compressed and dark tone of the guitar. To fully illustrate the difference in tone we compared it to the 317E with a Sitka Spruce top and Sapele back and sides.
