Today we are going to learn how to play an easy version of When I Come Around by Green Day on the acoustic guitar. This isn’t meant to be the exact song as it doesn’t have the solo and it is tuned to G major, the actual recording of the song is in Gb major because they have tuned the guitar down a half step.
We will show you how to play both the verse and the chorus and walk you through the strum pattern strum for strum, chord for chord and the chorus too. That way you will be playing the guitar in no time and singing this easy song with friends by the campfire.
To make it sound more like the electric version all you have to due is switch everything to power chord and move them down a half step. As in Gb5, Db5, Eb5, B5.
If you want to to take a solo for our acoustic version you will only have to play the G Major or E minor pentatonic scales to make some tasty tunes.
