In this video I share with you my my review of the Martin DX1e acoustic electric guitar brand new from Martin Guitars. This is the Koa HPL edition of the guitar that costs $499 brand new. In this price range there are a lot of guitars that sound good. However, this one really shines! It’s HPL construction is rugged and durable as a travel guitar while still maintaining classic Martin tone and playability.

The Fishman MX pickup audio with EQ set to flat, then set to 100% to achieve a scooped out mids sound, and finally a blend of the two with the addition of the Rode NT1 microphone at the 12th fret for a more natural and ambient sound.
