Kids easy guitar lesson. Here is a simple Blues guitar figure that you will recognise for kids from guitar teacher’s resources website http://teachwombat.com. From a teacher’s point of view this material is great for developing independent left hand finger movement. From a child’s point of view it is just a whole load of fun to play.
If you were to look at it from a music theory point of view it is a blues turnaround in the key of E but the real reason that I put this video together is that I was teaching a small group of eight year olds and i just happened to play this figure as an intro. They all liked it but thought that it was way too complicated for any of them to play. I demonstrated the figure and quickly scribbled out the tab for it a few times on one of the kids guitar tab blank sheets available from the teachwombat website and by the end of the lesson they were buzzing with excitement at the new sound that they could all make. A great result!
