In this Africa guitar lesson video, I will teach you how to play all of the chords and solos for this monster hit by Toto on acoustic guitar.
The tuning is standard tuning.
There is a very little guitar on the original recording, but I have transcribed all the synth chords and solos for acoustic guitar. It is a fun workout that can be a bit challenging if you try to play all the parts.
I will give you some easier options to play during those tricky sections as well.
I will go through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.
For the solo, I play mostly the lower harmony part since I think it works better on acoustic guitar. But there will be times that I will combine the harmony parts throughout the solo to make it more convincing.
